The RURBANIVE project is pleased to host the first Policy Recommendation Workshop within the RURBANIVE Forum series, initiating a collaborative process to develop actionable EU policy recommendations on rural–urban linkages.

This first workshop will focus on identifying, discussing, and structuring key challenges across six thematic domains that will shape the foundation for future policy analysis and recommendations. The session will bring together policymakers, researchers, practitioners, and experts to ensure that emerging policy insights are firmly grounded in territorial realities and practical experience.

The workshop contributes to RURBANIVE’s broader mission of supporting anticipatory policymaking, fostering mutual learning, and promoting integrated, place-based approaches to territorial development across Europe.
